Shipping Terms

Version 1.1 · in force since October 16, 2026

These Shipping Terms are an agreement between Lane Rally LLC, an Arizona limited liability company (USDOT 6662937, MC 54695737) ("we", "us"), and the company that books a shipment with us ("you"). They apply to every shipment you book with us, however you book it.

1. Who arranges the move
Lane Rally LLC arranges the transportation as broker of record (USDOT 6662937, MC 54695737). It is not the motor carrier. The carrier's name and MC number show on the shipment before pickup.

2. Your booking
Booking a shipment at the quoted price is binding under these terms. The price includes fuel. Layover or extra stops only with your OK, in writing; a layover is charged at the daily rate shown at checkout.

Some prices say the truck is "confirmed within 45 minutes" (or another time shown with the price). You book at once, at that price, and we confirm your truck within that time of booking (when you prepay, of your payment arriving). If we can't, you choose on your shipment page (for a shipment booked by phone, we call you): a new price, a later pickup at the same price, or cancel free. A new price on net terms needs room in your credit with us. Until you choose, the shipment stays booked at your price and we keep looking for a truck.

Pickup and delivery times are estimates that we and the carrier work to. A time is guaranteed only if we confirm in writing that it is guaranteed.

3. Cancelling
Cancel free until a truck is assigned. After the truck is on the way, a truck-ordered-not-used (TONU) charge applies: the amount shown at checkout.

4. Detention
After the free hours shown at checkout, detention is charged per hour at the rate shown. We tell you when it starts.

5. Other charges
Some charges happen only at a stop, and are billed only if they happen: a lumper (unloading) fee, driver assist, re-delivery, reconsignment (changing where the freight goes after pickup), and storage. Each is billed at cost, with proof: the receipt, the in and out times logged at the stop, the carrier's re-delivery record or the storage bill.

6. Pickup PIN
Once a carrier signs the rate confirmation, the shipment shows a Pickup PIN. Release the freight only to a driver who gives it.

7. Paying
By the terms on your account: net terms when approved, or a prepayment. Pay each invoice by bank transfer (ACH or wire) to the account details on it, with the invoice number in the transfer's memo. Part of an invoice leaves the rest owed. Money over what an invoice owes is applied to your next invoice or refunded to you.

When it's due. On net terms, we send the invoice when the proof of delivery is accepted, and you pay it within 30 days of the invoice date, unless your account shows different terms. A prepaid shipment is paid as section 8 says.

Late payment. An amount not paid by its due date carries a late fee of 1.5% a month, or the highest rate the law allows if that is lower, until it's paid. While an invoice is past due, your net terms may be put on hold, and new shipments are then prepaid until it's paid. You also pay our costs of collecting a past-due amount, including collection costs and reasonable attorney fees.

Pay in full. Freight charges are owed in full. Never reduce or hold back an invoice because of a cargo claim: claims go to the carrier, as section 10 says.

Disputing an invoice. If you think a charge is wrong, tell us in writing at [email protected] within 15 days of the invoice date, with the invoice number, the charge and why. Pay the rest of the invoice by its due date.

8. Prepayment
A shipment booked with prepayment is paid by bank transfer (ACH or wire) before it goes to a carrier. The invoice and the transfer details come right after booking; put the invoice number in the transfer's memo. The payment is due the number of hours before pickup shown at checkout. We book your truck once the funds arrive. If they haven't arrived by then, the booking is released, the invoice is void and you're told: get a new price to book again. If the bank returns a transfer, the invoice is owed again, and a shipment not yet with a carrier waits until it's paid. A cancelled prepaid shipment is refunded under section 3, by bank transfer. Money that arrives after a booking was released doesn't book the shipment again: we refund it by bank transfer, or, if you ask, apply it to another invoice. LaneRally never changes its bank details by email.

9. Cards (optional)
Paying by card is optional; a bank transfer costs you nothing. A card saved in your account is charged at delivery, when the proof of delivery is accepted, on net terms; or at once, as the prepayment. If a charge is declined, the invoice stays owed: pay it by bank transfer or with another card. You type the card on the card company's own page: LaneRally never sees or keeps its number. A card surcharge, if any, is added only to a credit card (never a debit or prepaid card), only where the law allows it, at no more than 3%, and it is shown before you pay.

10. Claims
The carrier is liable for loss of or damage to your freight. Federal law (the Carmack Amendment, 49 U.S.C. 14706) makes the motor carrier liable for the freight it transports.

At delivery, write any shortage or visible damage on the proof of delivery (POD) before it is signed, and take photos. Keep damaged freight and its packaging until the claim is settled.

File your claim with the carrier in writing within 9 months of delivery (if the freight never arrived, of the date it should have been delivered), and send us a copy at [email protected]. The claim names the shipment and asks for a specific amount of money. We are a broker, not the carrier: we help with your claim by giving you the carrier's details and the shipment's documents and by following up with the carrier.

We are liable only for our own negligence in arranging your shipment, never for what the carrier does, and our liability is limited to $100,000 per shipment.

11. Factored invoices
We may sell or assign our invoices to a factoring company (a "factor"). An invoice we assign says so: it carries the factor's notice of assignment and the factor's remit-to, never our bank account. Once you have that notice, pay that invoice only to the factor, at the remit-to printed on it. A payment to us, or to anyone else, doesn't pay an assigned invoice; if one reaches us anyway, we forward it to the factor or return it to you to pay the factor. Before you pay, confirm the remit-to by calling the factor at the published number printed on the invoice. Neither we nor the factor change payment details by email or text message. An assigned invoice isn't paid by card. The notice stays in force until the factor releases the invoice to us in writing. Questions about the shipment or the charges still come to us, and sections 7 and 10 still apply.

12. Your freight
For each shipment, you:
- describe the freight accurately: what it is, its weight and its value;
- pack it properly, and load, block and brace it safely wherever you, or anyone loading for you, load it;
- seal a trailer you load, and write the seal number on the bill of lading;
- never tender hazardous materials, or any of these goods: cash, jewelry and precious metals, firearms and ammunition, and live animals, unless we agreed in writing first;
- never tender anything illegal.

13. High-value freight
If one shipment's freight is worth more than $100,000, tell us in writing, with its value, before you book. If you don't, our liability for that shipment is limited to $100,000, and the carrier we arrange may not carry cargo insurance for more than that.

14. No indirect losses
We are not liable for lost profits or sales, a retailer's fines or chargebacks, late-delivery penalties, or other indirect or consequential losses.

15. Bills of lading and your own forms
The fine print on a bill of lading, or on your or your consignee's own forms, never adds to our liability and never changes these terms.

16. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Lane Rally LLC against claims, losses, fines and reasonable legal fees arising from your negligence; a wrong description of the freight; how it was packed or loaded; your facilities; or your consignees.

17. Events beyond control
Neither of us is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disaster, fire, epidemic, war, strikes, government orders, or road or border closures. This never excuses paying money already owed.

18. Partners who introduced you
A partner of Lane Rally LLC who introduced you to us is paid by us a share of our profit on your shipments. A partner's share comes out of our profit and never changes your price. Your partner can see your shipments' status, and whether your invoices are paid unless you turn that off on your portal's Partner page; it never sees the amounts you owe or your payment details. It can book a shipment for you only if your company's owner or admin lets it on that page, only from the places you share with it, at a price Lane Rally LLC quoted it that it has sent to your portal first, on your own terms; if you haven't accepted these terms, your partner accepts them for you under that permission (the page says so), and your confirmation says who booked it. A partner can't accept these terms for you until someone at your own company has accepted a version with section 19 at your own checkout. A partner never collects money from you, pays a carrier or appears on a rate confirmation, bill of lading or invoice. Lane Rally LLC stays the broker of record.

19. Carriers we introduce (non-circumvention)
For 6 months after a carrier first hauls your freight through Lane Rally LLC, you won't book that carrier directly, or through another broker, for the lanes Lane Rally LLC moved for you. This doesn't apply to a carrier you can show you already worked with before Lane Rally LLC.
If you do, you pay Lane Rally LLC a fee of 10% of the freight charges on each such load. Lane Rally LLC may agree in writing to leave this section out for your company.

20. Arizona law and courts
These terms are governed by Arizona law and applicable federal law. Any claim between you and us goes to the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. In a lawsuit about these terms or a shipment, the side that wins recovers its reasonable attorney fees from the other.

21. Notices
Send notices to us at [email protected] and to Lane Rally LLC, 2718 W Estrella Dr, Chandler, AZ 85224-7813. We send notices to the email on your account, or show them in the app. For your shipments, these terms and your quote win over the Terms of Service where they differ.
